HEADLAMP GUIDE

Everyday Use & Commuting

Choose the right headlamp for everyday use & commuting

A headlamp makes everyday life easier. It frees up both hands when walking the dog, shovelling snow, carrying things from the car, or searching in the attic. It also makes bike commuting safer and is a smart backup light to keep in your car.

Tips when choosing a headlamp for everyday use & commuting

BRIGHTNESS

For everyday tasks and slow-paced walks, 200–400 lumens is enough. For relaxed bike commuting on asphalt or gravel roads, 450–550 lumens provide reliable visibility.

BURN TIME & WEIGHT

For daily use, choose a compact, lightweight, and rechargeable model. If you cycle to work or walk the dog every day, it’s worth selecting a headlamp with longer battery life so you don’t need to recharge as often.

Extra visible – extra safe

Always wear reflectors when cycling or walking in traffic. The red Smini Rear Light makes you visible from up to 1000 meters and can be attached to the headlamp strap, your jacket, or your backpack.
