<p>The easy to grip compass housing features a stable, easy to read needle. Red/black north-south lines in the capsule bottom ensure easy and safe settling. The baseplate with curved up back end has a magnifying lens for precision map work together with stencil holes for star and control markings in the front.</p>

<p>The scale slide at the tip of the compass is detachable. The included scale lanyard makes it easier to quickly make a distance judgement of your route or to plan your route in advance.</p>
