Comfortable headlamp for everyday running
Trail Runner Free 2 is lightweight and has no distracting cords. The headband is made of soft textile and stays securely in place thanks to a thin silicone strip on the inside. 450 lumen (AAA batteries) gives you enough light for lit tracks or urban running, while 500 lumen (Hybrid battery) lights up easier trails. Batteries not included.

Free Technology means the power cord is integrated into the headband, for a smoother running experience without tangled cables. Silva Intelligent Light combines a focused spotlight with a wide flood light, so you can see where you're placing your feet on the trail. Trail Runner Free 2 has a red safety light at the back of the headband – open the battery case to turn it on. Thanks to the Hybrid Battery Case, the lamp is compatible with both AAA and Hybrid batteries (not included). Choose AAA batteries for lower weight, the Hybrid battery for more lumen, or bring both as a backup.

Long-range battery and hybrid battery case

If you choose the Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra, you get both the rechargeable long-distance battery 4.0 Ah (14.8 Wh) and the hybrid battery case. This allows you to use the powerful battery for longer rides, or switch to the hybrid battery case with AAA batteries (not included) for shorter rides. You can also supplement with the rechargeable 1.25 Ah (4.6 Wh) hybrid battery. The hybrid battery case has easy-to-grip surfaces and an integrated red safety light for extra visibility.

Pleasant and powerful light

With the 2nd generation of the Trail Runner Free, cooling has been optimized with a more powerful cooler, allowing the lamp to deliver up to 550 lumens while maintaining its agility. Ultrarunners have been instrumental in the development of the lights, where every detail focuses on running. All models in the Trail Runner Free series have Silva Intelligent Light, which combines strong lighting from a distance and soft lighting where you put your feet. This provides a comprehensive light image and reduces head movement, which helps you focus on your run and reduces the risk of fatigue and tension headaches.

Comfort in every detail

Although the Trail Runner Free series is best known for its Free Technology, we haven't forgotten about weight and ergonomic fit. Every part of the headlamp has been optimized, and the lamp unit including the headband weighs only 61 grams. Even with the heaviest long-distance battery in the Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra, the weight is no more than 160 grams. The Trail Runner Free is lightweight and well-balanced, with easy adjustments and a flat, soft, tangle-free extension cable. The soft headband is held firmly in place thanks to a thin silicone string on the inside. The battery can be mounted on the headband or kept warm in the pocket using the extension cable.
