Many headlamps today are designed without loose cables, but this often means the battery is integrated into the lamp unit, creating uneven weight distribution and reduced comfort.

Integrated cables
With Free Technology, all cables are integrated into the headband, allowing for balanced weight distribution with the lamp at the front and the battery at the back. No distracting wires – just maximum comfort and full focus on your run, whether you're running an ultra-marathon or heading out for a quick jog.

Soft textile details
Trail Runner Free combines a lightweight, balanced design with soft textile details for added comfort. The soft headband stays securely in place thanks to a thin silicone strip, while the textile-covered extension cable lets you move the battery to a pocket or backpack when needed.

All Trail Runner Free models feature Silva Intelligent Light®, combining a powerful long-distance beam with a soft, wide close-range beam. This provides a better view of both the trail ahead and where you place your feet, while reducing unnecessary head movement so you can stay focused on your run.

Optimised weight
Trail Runner Free is designed with both weight and comfort in mind. The lamp unit, including the headband, weighs just 55 grams. Even the Trail Runner Free Ultra with its long-distance battery weighs only 141 grams. For even less weight on your head, the battery can be carried in a pocket using the included textile-covered extension cable.

HYBRID BATTERY CASE

Every detail of Trail Runner Free is designed with running in mind. The light pattern is optimised for trail running, providing plenty of light where you place your feet, while the rear battery case features an integrated red safety light for increased visibility.

Thanks to the flexible Hybrid Battery Case, you can use either a rechargeable Silva Hybrid Battery or standard alkaline batteries, giving you reliable light even on longer runs.
